^ Yes. Hiding in my bedroom until the wretched day is over! Apart from the presents, I'm not interested in hanging out with relatives I never see during the year except for one day when I'm expected to like them. ^_^
> KB, I noticed that too! I was jumping up and down, shouting "oooh! OOOH! Now you have to play "This Is The Moment"!" And Fredus, I got The Snow Goose for Christmas. I thought there was more to it until I realised that that was where it ended. Then I cried. So I'm going to write a new ending! ^_^
V Ever thought about writing a new ending to something Anthony has starred in?

^ Nope. I let it end where it ends.

^ Well, this one, if it counts. Even if I can't log on, I cruise by it almost every day. Also, I'm addicted to YouTube (wish I hadn't discovered the joys of that - I can find almost all of my weird little obsessions on there)
> Going back to the Dancesport thing, I saw that too! I was on night shift, and we had the tv going while we were in between rounds, and that came on. I knew the song was familiar but I had to listen for a while until I could actually remember what it was from. Think I startled the other nurse I was working with when I exclaimed 'That's from Jekyll and Hyde'! I got the 'Rrrrriiiiggghhhtttt' look from her as she said 'I didn't even know there was a musical of Jekyll and Hyde'. Had a good night then, as I prattled on about the awesomness of J&H.
V If you were only able to keep cds from 3 artists, who would they be?

^ Ant, The Beatles.....and compilation CDs? > My friend at Cal is doing J&H for her solo. When she'd picked the music she played it to me first because she knew I'd appreciate it! My Snow Goose and Scarlet Pimpernel solos are pretty much finished too ^.^ V Could you ever dance solo at an esteddford?
|
|
|
Post by MuLo on Jan 1, 2009 17:49:04 GMT 9.5
^I can't dance solo in the bedroom!!!!! No rhythm!
> My friend gave me an I-pod shuffle for Xmas and loaded it with 200 musical theatre songs!! It's been stuck in my ears for two days!!
V Would you see "Phantom: Love Never Dies" if Gerard Butler or Hugh Jackman was cast as the Phantom? (which I don't think will happen anyway, so it's a moot point really, a purely hpothetical question!!)

Post by phantomess on Jan 1, 2009 19:00:54 GMT 9.5
^ I would consider if our Hughie was cast, only consider though. I find it hard to handle that anyone but Warlow or perhaps a younger Crawford (please don't hit me!) should play the Phantom (except perhaps Guest... but sadly there's no chance of him playing it again, God rest his soul). Plus I don't like the title.
> Muahahaha! Seven... no... eight margaritas with extra tequila and NO hangover! Not even a headache! That... that is impressive!
V How did you see in the new year?

^ Watching Same Time Next Year' until 2:30 in the morning. Ah, Alan Alda.
> I've been smiling for the past two days though; it might as well be LADS tomorrow ((I wish it was, I don't want to clean windows at work >)_< ))
V Does the place where you work ((if you work)) give out a copy of their policies and procedures?
|
|
|
Post by Fredus on Jan 2, 2009 21:07:44 GMT 9.5
^ Nope. I don't think we have any policies or procedures. Oh, the joys of working in a small business. It makes it difficult when the bosses are away though, and we're trying to work out what to do...
> I've been putting off a job at work for about a week, and I finally ran out of time today and had to do it. It only took me 20mins, and it was easy. In hindsight, maybe I should have done it straight away. Less stressful.
V Do you do hard jobs first or last?

^ I can't wait for 'Mikado'. I've never seen it (except for some short clips on YouTube out of the Jon English version from eons ago), and it'll give me my 4th viewing of Ant 'Live'. > I just have to declare my love of e-bay. My taste in music would proabably be considered 'daggy' or even 'crap' by most of my non-learned friends (they don't understand the word 'classic'), and can be a little difficult to come by in the music shops (unless you ferrit around in the bargin bins, etc). However, seeing as e-bay has just about EVERYTHING, my music collection is expanding quiet nicely! (got a new cd in the mail today, so I'm a little hyped) V What gem have you found on e-bay?

^ Absolute O'Brien by Richard O'Brien. Sure it's not exactly Rocky Horror material and it's rather mellow, but there's still good songs on it.
> I'm home early this shift; only worked 1.5 hours' because it was so quiet. I have to go back tonight though; hopefully by then my lunch would have completely digested.

^Sadly, no. I didn't get any time off work over the actual Christmas break. I have, by some strange phenomena, just scored close to a week off work. However, as I have no one to go away with, I'm stuck at home >It's hot, I live in a dust-bowl, my plants have died, and my pool is green. V Does gardening relax or frustrate you? Or do you avoid gardening as much as possible?

^ Um... pretty much what I'm doing now. Except I'd like more power over which jobs I accept, and I'd like some more time to work on my own things... > I've just realised I have to go to Sydney this weekend for a friend's farewell. Which means I have to drive to Canberra tomorrow night after work - and I cannot be bothered!! @ Jekkie - I like gardening, but at the moment I only have pot plants. Silly rental property. My brother gave me a Wollemi Pine for Christmas, which is really nifty. V Favourite non-Ant cd's?

^... that excludes everything. XD Lol! Hmmm, I quite like sherbet.
> Muahah! I have infected another TWO with Antanism! I've convinced another American to buy J&H and got an Australian to turn pink after listening to "Alive". My golly, I love that album!
V Are you busily converting?

|
Post by Fredus on Jan 12, 2009 20:45:32 GMT 9.5
^ Yep. I've just ordered J&H for a friend of mine - I owe her for a couple of missed birthdays.
> Eeew - my cat just miaowed at me, and he has stinky breath. I think I need to buy him some of those biscuits that fix cat breath. Except that means braving Woolies, which is a scary prospect at the moment. The whole town is swarming with crazed Victorians (no offence to anyone here, who comes from VIC...); so the last few times I've been shopping, I've had to spend wa-ay too long in queues.
V Do you get invaded at certain times of the year by tourists?
|
|
|
Post by killerbananas on Jan 13, 2009 13:52:35 GMT 9.5
^ No, unless you're near Sovereign Hill. Then there's tourists everywhere. Like, a ratio of 2 locals to 200 tourists > I go on holidays Saturday, then its partying DOWN! V Counting down to anything?

^ A flip, and that's about it.
> I am so bored - Sister decided (without running this by me) that I was going to have a bbq for my birthday, but I couldn't actually have it on my birthday because her husband is working. She seems to have a strange idea that I actually care whether he is here or not. She also decided to invite her parents-in-law and a couple of their friends. All four of them are the kind of people who say 'I done this' and 'I seen that' . Haven't they ever heard of grammer? So frustrating, and boring. Fun. I can't wait until I go home tomorrow.

^ Watching the lame fireworks.
> I love doing gymnastics aerials on tramps. I would have done them on Unwinding's, but it was left on the nature strip for a reason- it's best to just lie on it, me jumping had me almost hitting the ground.

^ Oh yes. It is past that time of night where the best conversations are had, and you find out 'real' stuff about the people you are talking to, etc. > Technology hates me. I try to be friendly to it, but apparently I just end up offending it, so it won't work for me. Why can't we just be friends?! V Does anybody know if iPod Touch's are any good? ^ I've got a iPod nano. My brother gave it to me so I had something to listen to in the studio at uni. It seems to work well, but I don't know how well it goes in the expense stakes. > It has been forecast as 40 degrees today (yes, I know that's nothing compared to what some of you are getting ), however, I have been living in a town where our hottest day this year was 34. I promised I would help my friend with her stall at a Handmade Market, and Albert Hall is going to be stinking hot. V Favourite retreat on a hot day?
