Jut saw on Twitter that they are recording the opening night of Annie tonight with the intention of releasing a live cast album. Wonder if they are doing this because of the public disappointment with the Zhivago recording?

More news on the Annie front... They will be doing a Foxtel special called "An Audience with the Cast of Annie" to be shown on the 22nd of Jan:

Cast members of the current Australian production of Annie gathered at the FOXTEL studios in Sydney today (January 10, 2011) to film An Audience with the Cast of Annie for excusive broadcast on Bio Channel. Todd McKenney hosts the show, interviewing cast members Anthony Warlow, Nancye Hayes, Chloe Dallimore, Julie Goodwin, Alan Jones and Sienna Elchaar, one of the girls playing Annie, plus producer John Frost and several celebrity audience members.

Stage Whispers editor Neil Litchfield was lucky enough to be at the recording of the special, where the cast also performed Easy Street, Little Girls, Tomorrow, I Don't Need Anything But You and Hard Knock Life.

Mickey, who plays Annie’s dog Sandy, was, as usual, a big hit, and the audience was let in on some of the secrets of his performance.

An Audience with the Cast of Annie will telecast, exclusive to Bio, on Sunday January 22 at 6.30pm AEDT

I have a recording of the interview Anthony did before Zhivago started. It was on the Ovation channel. Does anyone want that? Or is that a silly question!!!

There was a very short segment on the Annie opening on the Today show last week which I recorded. I need to work out how to transfer it to the computer though. We have a new HD recording thing that I have no idea how to use! XD

As for the recording, it was on Twitter so let me look into it first to make sure it is legit

I saw the end of the item your talking about but missed the start. I would love to see it. Perhaps if you can you could put a file on mediafire.

If you can record to DVD then you will need to finalise the disc so you can play it on your PC. You can then use a DVD to Video converter. Try www.dvdvideosoft.com they have a load of free software. You can then convert it to Avio or other suitable format.

I'm working on the interview as I type. I forgot all about it. It's a really good interview with lots about DRZ plus other Ant stuff.

As far as the recording of Annie is concerned I don’t think there is anything to loose. If they haven’t done a recording it might prompt them if they see the level of interest.

I know after what happened with the Zhivago CD it may be silly to get our hopes up, but it looks pretty good! I will be in Sydney during most of February so will check it out while I am there.

Also, just a reminder about the audience with the cast of Annie show that will be airing on the 22nd. Those with Foxtel make sure you tape it!

If she's saying 'released in February', that seems very, very promising. That is such a short time away... surely by this time they'd have to have it pretty much done to fit with their plans?

Going for a massive conference that I am helping to arrange so I think the stress is a given! But I get a couple of weekends there which will be nice. I should check tickets for Annie. I looked last week and there were some front row ones, on the side though.
