Hurray for the cast recording! Incidentally, where's a good place to get a copy (that will ship internationally)? I've googled and checked the usual places like Middle Eight Music and it doesn't seem to be available yet.

Yay! Can't believe they did it so quick! And I am glad that they mentioned the Dr Zhivago cd. I will definitely be getting it. Heading to sydney today so will go to the theatre on Saturday and grab it.

Chauvelin, try the official Annie site. They have a link to the playbill shop and it might be on there. I would check myself but for some reason it won't load on my phone.

I had a quick look round and found one online store which had it at $32 something but not available yet, and Sanity who have it available and at a lower price. I went into our local Sanity store at lunchtime and though they didn't have it in they could order it, they also thought their online store can send overseas - I can't confirm that personally but have a look : www.sanity.com.au/products/2206928/Annie.

Marie-Cris I don't think they are online only are they - we've certainly got three stores in Canberra. On that website there's a black tab labelled "store locator" - choose the state and it'll list the branches. But maybe there isn't one near enough to you and you might be running out of time there too. I'm not sure when you move but there is a branch in Albury it seems, in the West End Plaza, Kiewa Street. Even if the shop hasn't got them in they'll order it and that way you save the postage .

Edit: I think silly me might have misunderstood your comment about Sanity being only online - sorry - and I see now that they seem to be the official outlet. But as our local store has ordered it for me presumably others would too.

I picked up a copy at my local JB-HiFi for $20 just today. I would assume that most JB stores would stock it and I think it's also listed in the online store.

A note on the album, I was surprised they didn't put Warbucks' "Why should I change a thing" on the cd, considering it was written for Anthony...but I'm not complaining, at least we actually got a cd this time (still have bitter feelings about the lack of a Zhivago cd).

Well, I am happy to say I enjoyed the show! Anthony was fantastic. He played the role really well and was very funny. Some of the jokes fell a little flat, the political ones anyway, but for the most part everyone laughed. He also does the pre show announcement which was funny. Oh, and he has a new headshot on his bio. Finally. XD

The rest of the cast were good too, especially the Annie. Alan Jones struggled with the accent but was good. The kids were cute and the dog was cute too, although he managed to ruin Tomorrow by licking his privates right in the middle of the song inciting laughter from the audience. The girl playing Annie handled it really well though, trying to get the dog's attention back.

All in all, a fun show.

Glad you enjoyed it Jayko. I am positive Anthony did the preshow announcement for Jersey Boys as well. I would recognise that voice anywhere (even though an American woman on a JB site I belong to said there was no way it was Ant).

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm never much good at getting political jokes, so I'm probably doomed there... It is strange that they aren't doing that song. Things are very weird sometimes. And yay! New headshot! New photo of Anthony to drool over admire.

Great timing for the dog! I'm really hanging out to see this now... I mean, hanging out more than before.

This wasn't the front seat one actually. Eb came to visit for the weekend so we booked tickets. We were sitting in row H in the middle and they were actually really good seats to see the full picture. Will be interesting to see it from the front on Thursday.

Apparently a pig used in the recend Auckland production of Wizard of Oz took a wee onstage. XD

If the Annie recording is at JB Hi-Fi then it could be stocked at some of their New Zealand branches too. There are three stores that I have easy access to.
