Ah, Comedy Inc. It single handedly made me enjoy Sunrise again, in that I start laughing everytime I see Koshy....and Surprised Chef- plus Chris Lilley got his start on that show as 'Extreme Darrin'- Go get mum.... ah, the Warlow bashing at my work has been erased by these good memories....

I must have missed that one! I just remember the one where one of the trains wants a pet (("A big black cock - a big black cock - a big black cockatoo. Or how about a small white cock - a small white cock - a small white cockatiel?")), and another one where they're talking about beauty pageants (("It's always won by a girl with a big fat count - a big fat count - a big fat country" [had to write it properly because there's a censor on the naughty word, and with good reason])). XD
OOH!!! TERRY PRATCHETT'S HOGFATHER WILL BE ON THIS SUNDAY NIGHT!!!
...
DRAT!!! I'm performing that night! *thud* I hope dad can tape that for me.

*thud* Terry Pratchett; only one of the most brilliant writers ever! JK Rowling can't hold a candle to him. They've only ever made animated series out of his two books Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters ((both good reads for those new to Pratchett)), I never thought they'd make a live-action from the others!! I'm so happy!!

Just got home from 9 Lessons & Carols. Huge sing. Rehearsal from 5-6.30 then performance from 7-8.30. Nailed all the top As in the descants and other stuff. We got huge complements. Son Alex had huge solos and was stunningly beautiful and my 10 year old niece sang with the choir for the first time and made her mother cry through the whole thing!!! Nine carols from the choir plus 9 traditional congregational carols as well. I got to do the solo verse for Once In Royal David's City. Traditionally this isn't picked till we are lining up to go in (following a very old English tradition). Had a huge variety of choir carols from 15 century French to early Latin to some older English ones and finished off with "Riu, Riu, Chiu" which is a 16 century Spanish carol sung unaccompanied except for random percussion provided by the choir on seats, bodies, by clapping, stamping or using any hard surface available. It has six solo verses sung by a bass and then choir choruses in between and as we left the church to this piece the audience stood and clapped which doesn't generally happen in a church!!!!! We were awesome apparently!! It certainly felt good from my side of the vocal cords. Still channeling the Angel of Music obviously!!! Must write to him and thank him for giving me a voice better than I've ever had!!!!! *glomp*

We're having a mirror night; I just got home from our 9 Lessons and Carols ((although it's "Sacred and Secular Carols" now, but I still think of it as 9)). Everyone did an absolutely wonderful job, especially our soloists for Cohen's Hallelujah ((uh ... Shrek, anyone?)); we used people who don't normally do solo parts and they were so petrified but they nailed it! There wasn't a dry eye in the house, even Darrin had trouble singing The Prayer right afterwards ...
... which was followed by the Congregational Joy to the World, and everyone was still wiping away the tears.
And people have been saying my voice has improved dramatically since last year'. Funny thing, that ...

With a new love interest, mother is of course intensely curious as to how L.A. is coping; L.A. left this afternoon for home as she has to work tomorrow, but before she did she downloaded a picture of her new man from some site for me to show to mum when she ((mum)) got ((as as it was, "gets")) home from work. So, mum came home, I show her the pic, and mum thought he looked gay. She kept saying "He's so gay, isn't he?" Yeash! "He looks like TJ" (L.A.'s ex) - not!
Then came this:
"Old; another old one. She likes the old men."
Which of course made me think of my own particular taste in men, but it's not exactly a thought a mother would like to hear from the mouth of her youngest daughter.
A ny way .........
Just had to share that.

Yeah, he wrote 'Good Omens' with Neil Gaiman- very funny book.
I'm happy because Boxing Day sales= shopping! Plus I saw Ana, I waved, she waved back- I was so happy!
And I found a copy of Poe's 'Masque of the Red Death' at the library, which led to me sitting down immediately to read....short yet good.

Ok well i am on a complete high cas i went to see Phantom a third time last night and my god it was the best performance I'd seen. . . let me rephrase. so far!! (well hopefully) anyway i dont no whether its becas we had awesome seats (Dress Circle, Row A, seat 24 and 25) or whether Ant was just more brilli-ant then ever or whether I'd just forgotten how amazing going to see Phantom of the Opera on stage with Anthony Warlow was. *thud2* my god I could go over and over and over and over etc. again! if u ever can get seats in the first couple of rows do it! best seats in the house!!! anyway i wont go into a big review bcas I'd end up blabbing on and on. just the highlights and my favourites. Phantom of the Opera - Argh! I was completely under his power!! Music of the Night - aww one of my favourite bits. he blew me away like always and it seemed so surreal! Il Muto - ohh i nearly fainted... u gotta love that evil little laugh of his. so damn *thud2*!!! All I Ask of You Reprise - shed a few tears and completely hypnotized . . by everything.. he was sooo close!! *thud* Point of No Return - ohh god.. most intense scene!! ohh the chemistry!!! i must admit . . many antasms.. ;D Down Once More - Final Lair scene - I cried so much during this scene. more then i ever had when Id previously seen Phantom. gawdd this man is brilli-ant!! *thud* That final 'Niiiiiggggghhhht!' was just so breath takingly beautiful!!! and sent shivers up my spine and covered me with goosebumps! I must admit i was in a trance after the performance and I could not stop smiling! quite embarrassing! but anyway i cant get all my feelings down in words, but i no all of you know exactly what it felt like!!!!

I'm actually glad I'll be able to see it on my own on the 9th; I'll be able to let it all out instead of restraining my emotions ((or being restrained by company)). How many times does that make it for you phantasy?
