This is such a terrible confession, but when it (POTO the movie) was on TV in NZ a year or two ago, I watched it and kind-of enjoyed it. In my defence, at that point I hadn't listened to Anthony (or anyone) sing POTO in a really long time. I just had a listen to one of the songs now on YT.. while I do like looking at Gerard Butler, listening to him was so painful, I made it through about 1.2 seconds and then I had to hit mute. Wow, it's bad. So, so bad. I once heard someone describe bad singing as like listening to out- of-tune foghorns... I can understand that description so much better now. On a sadder note.. Easter Bunny missed out my house. No Easter eggs, no chocolate I vewy sad...

I got an email the other day to say Easter had been cancelled.... Farmgirl, maybe this explains the lack of chocolate?

Oh no!!! Poor, poor Easter Bunny! Another confession (no chocolate to fortify me)... a rabbit, a possum and a hedgehog all tried to run under my car on my way home tonight (at different times). They're all pest vermin here (sorry Australian possum fans)... the possum had a baby, so I swerved - everybody I know would be horrified that I missed and I'm happy to trap the darn things, but mother and baby? Couldn't do it. The hedgehog was right in the middle of the road so that was an easy miss, and the rabbit... well I had to avoid the rabbit, being Easter and all, even if I got no chocolate

Neh- I agree, Miranda Richardson is the bomb. And at least SHE cottoned on to the fact that the movie is based in France, and adopted a French accent. The rest of the cast? FAIL.
And I am so hating on Easter right now.

This isn't so much my vent but this morning there was a bit of a fuss down at my sister-in-law's place.
At 7:30am my alarm went off. At that same time, Jenny got up to open the back door for the dog, have her shower and get ready for work. Once she had finished and she walked into the kitchen she couldn't find her handbag. When she looked out the kitchen window the roller door for the car port was open and her handbag was missing.
So this morning, instead of heading off to work, Jenny called the police, called the bank to cancel her cards, called the housing trust about changing the locks ((who informed her that it wasn't their responsibility and she had to find a locksmith herself)), called the DMV to get her driver's license canceled, called her husband ((my brother)) Pete to come around with the only key remaining for the car, and battled to keep her kids from brawling as she was on the phone.
Her handbag contained her life. All of her identification, including her birth certificate. All of her keys - even the spare car key she had had cut - were in there, and her medication. Now she doesn't have a thing and she has to run around the city trying to get her identity and accounts back.
The strange thing about this is that though the handbag was stolen, the phones that were on the table weren't. What's even stranger is that their yappy dog, Tia, didn't bark her head off when the roller door opened, because she barks at the littlest things and the roller door is extremely loud even when someone's trying to be quiet with it. Jenny and I - who were in rooms at the front of the house and also closest to the roller door - didn't hear a thing. The theft would have taken place between midnight and 7.30 most likely.

That's awful. I'm sorry for your sister-in-law. And many curses upon the sod that did it.

Also- I am so pissed that on another forum I'm a member of these stupid n00bs keeps posting absolute shite in order to beef up their post counts. Little sh*its >.<

Is there a goal for post counts on that forum or do they just want a big number in their profile?

It's similar to the VIP/Dorian set-up here. But really- the shocking grammar splattered all over the threads make me want to hurt people.

Sorry for your n00b over-exposure....
Someone stupid sod has attached a padlock to my car's windscreen wiper! I can't get the bloody thing off - it's right at the bottom, so I can't slide it, and I don't have a bolt cutter. Dammit!

I wouldn't wander into GaiaOnline then, Becs; some boards there are notorious for housing the illiterate.
A padlock?!

Yes. A padlock. I fail to understand why. If nothing else, out of a whole car park, why did they have to pick on my car? Unless they're just attracted to bright colours. I figure that would be about the right intelligence level.

A kid at school clipped a padlock onto my shoelace & he didn't have the key so I had to untie my whole shoe and restring it *damn those stupid kids*

Yes, but at least you can untie your shoe. Pulling off my windscreen wiper isn't really a plausible option.

Well, you can. They are removable, actually.
And yes, I have totally had it with stupid n00bs.

I don't know how to remove them, and where the padlock was, it wouldn't have helped anyway. As it happens the husband of someone I work with came downtown with his bolt cutters and removed it for me. Which is a relief, as it is supposed to be raining this weekend.

You could have just scratched the crap out of your windscreen. It works.

As I haven't seen rain in quite a while, I'd just leave the padlock.

It's rained a few times the last week or so, and they're predicting rain for the weekend. I'm lucky they decided to padlock my car on a dry day.

Headed down to Hamilton with my mum and sister today. Had to take the back route because of the traffic caused by the V8's. Got halfway to Waignairo before realising we were taking the wrong one...
Also, my $70 Skullcandy Lowrider headphones snapped..luckily it was only the plastic that held them on my head. They now work as akward speakers for my iPod. >.< And now my normal iPod headphones dont work in the left ear. Grr.

I've already tried that with the Skullcandy's. They say its not covered by warranty and cant replace them or give me a refund. My other ones just broke last night, so I'll take them back once I''ve returned to Auckland.

It's the best brand in headphones. I'm saving for a pair of their DJ-style full earphone in fluro pink black and white. A sweet $180 right there.

Yeah, pretty much what kb just said.
My Metallica Lowriders cost me $70 and I have insufficent funds to replace them. My nan says theres a good repair place not far from her house, so I might try there.
I really miss playing the POTO overture at full blast with my eyes closed....
