I just bought some boots, got them home and went "Oh no I've bought Patience boots." It's a fight to not wear pink ballet tights with them XD
Couldn't pull it off like Ant though!

^ I know what you mean. Why do transvestites always have the best clothes? (well, when they're wearing something more than underwear)

... and Magenta's dinner outfit. I love that costume, but there's not a chance in hell I'd be able to wear it. Damn Patricia Quinn and her voluptuous figure! *mad*

Did you see Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror Writer/ original Riff Raff) on Spicks and Specks the other week?

Yeah, I saw it with my dad ((unfortunately))
"Richard Timothy Smith." *PAUSE* "That's me!"
XD
I have a library of misc. audio clips of him, many pictures, three films he's been in, plus his solo album Absolute O'Brien ((pink-covered version, unfortunately, but hey, at least I got it, and cheap; had to ship it form the UK)).
I think I've got a bald-men complex.

"Richard Timothy Smith." *PAUSE* "That's me!" Golden Moment! On another topic, I passed 100 posts without even noticing ;D

I just got 'Patience recently' and I lost it when Dennis Olsen fell... When my friend came over we rewatched it about six times and then slowed down the part where Ant is trying to control himself ;D

He's fabulous as the Major General, honestly. And you can pick out a little bit of Bunthorne in him

I have to say that I was in STITCHES during "When I Go Out Of Door". Although that tunic top was VERY short... ^_^

I have different scenes from Patience (among others) on my ipod, so they are saved on my computer and 2 weeks ago one of my sisters was using it and came across When I Go Out Of Door and freaked out. I came home to find her in hysterics watching it for the 20th time. Obviously the dancing is so funny but i really love Ant's facial expressions....actually I love the expressions throughout all of Patience.

Lmao, I think I've rewatched that scene (and the lead-up to it with the pond) at LEAST that many times! I couldn't help it! That and the 'Horror! Horror! HORROR!' bit before the end of Act One. I tend to skip through the bit at the beginning, although the Duke is pretty funny!

Lol, let's face it, I think we'd all be agreeing with Archibald the Alright (well, a bit more than alright, I say!)!
I'm so jealous! Dennis Olsen is HILARIOUS! Although John Bolton-Wood WAS brilliant... -)_^

I quite like Archibald the Alluring! It suits him! Back-to-back?!? *remember her "phantom binge" weekend* Point taken. ^_^ "...a source of ecstacy for all!" *beam* "I know I am!"

Let's not forget the bit at the start of "A Magnet Hung in a Hardware Shop" Ant: Covers private area and wags finger at maidens Oh, and Patience's immortal words: "And how you've grown!"

Nik, you mean to tell me you didn't have untoward thoughts at the, "How you've grown!" comment?

I thought we all had certain feelings towards that comment I blame all of you

Personally, I blame the TIGHTS. And I can't believe you didn't think of that either, nik. I'm still angry that I missed seeing Olsen in the role again when I was at uni ((and that I missed attending a one-day-only theatre course with Philip Quast the year' after)), but he really was hilarious as the Major General. Am I the only one who feels slightly guilty when watching Patience? Feeling like one of the 20 love-sick maidens?

@mar: Considering that song is directed towards Bunthorne? No.

Well yes, but it then draws my mind to A Magnet Hung in a Hardware Shop. That title is a lot more dangerous than previously imagined.

At least it's not A Magnet Well-Hung in a Hardware Shop. That one would destroy your mind - and would necessitate a much longer tunic, as well!!
