While we're unravelling G&S mysteries, could someone PLEASE explain Ko-Ko's closing speech? No matter how many times I watch it and despite having read the libretto, I still don't understand what he's on about and how The Mikado could make enough sense out of it to be happy.

I can't remember Ko-Ko's closing speech, sorry. I haven't seen Mikado for way too long. I'll go searching for it after dinner...

Yeah, that little spiel makes little to no sense to me. Hopefully live it might work, or we could convince Ant to change it!
Back to TBJ, wouldn't the Judge's romantic interest in Angelina be considered a conflict of interest and therefore he wouldn't be fit to try the case?

Speak more clearly, Graeme Ewer!

^ Umm... I'm confused... (which is such an unsual state of mind for me XD)
That speech makes sense to me. Although that might just be my weird twisty brain.

It makes sense now; it never made sense when I watched it.

I'm just thankful I didn't go to see the latest production of The Mikado in Adelaide. I know it was for charity but from the looks of the ads on the telly it was Mikado gone Madi Gras ((or at least laser-mad; so many lasers ... x)_x)). Frank Woodley was Ko-Ko, I think, and Julie Anthony was Katisha ((she still looked pretty; Katisha's not meant to be pretty!)).

That sounds like bad G&S but a funny night out.

Frank Woodley as Ko-Ko.... the mind boggles.

The mind also boggles at Simon Pryce singing 'adjusted' G&S lyrics on a kids' show. G&S will never be the same

It's in corporation with The Wiggles, isn't it? Don't they always release their stuff on DVD ... ?

Yes, yes they do. I could always tell myself that I'm buying it for my sister's kids...

Well mum came home and wanted to know why there's 20 programs set to pre-record. When I said a kids' show she wasn't very amused. Or when I said I'll need to steal a saturday arvo to edit them all onto DVD!

There's a lot of G&S to cover in 30 eps.... but let's keep our fingers crossed they move into more.... modern musical theatre, shall we say?

I already looked for it under the same cover. Which IS true, I've already got my 2 year old niece and 4 year old nephew hooked on Anthony's Pirates. XD Your niece and nephew are much better than my sister's kids. They came to visit me a couple of weeks ago, and I was all set to get them onto Pirates, but they wanted to watch their own dvd's. Daft kids.
