You are all evil children! Lmao! I'm in a computer lab for heaven's sake! Riotous laughter is FROWNED upon! ... *grins* Though now I remember where the covering-up bit is... I'm dashing home to watch it again! ^_^ I vote to change Archibald the Alright to something more becoming. Alright just doesn't do him justice... unless it's a bit of alright!

I just managed to get a copy of Patience. I've heard all the comments about the pink tights, and I was somewhat intrigued. And now all I can say is.. ... ... ... oh, my, ... Is it hot in here? I think I need to open a window......

WAH HA HA!
*Bang* There goes more innocence; it's getting almost easy.

Oh, well. Innocence (I just had a weird moment where it took me five tries to write innocence) is overated. I much prefer my new state of mind.
My sister claims that no man can look good in tights. I think she needs to see Archibald's tights...

I think she needs to see Archibald, The Red Death and Sherrif in TIGHTS. ... sorry Roy.

And the Goblin King. Although, his aren't as ... subtle.
On a slightly different note, the commonplace suit at the end is pretty nifty, too.

"lets face it, you've gotta be a man to wear tights!"
sorry, Mel Brooks moment.

Funny you mentioned the Goblin King; I watched that again yesterday. Possibly because it's the origin of my ability to notice TIGHTS.

Yes, I have to watch it every now and again. I don't know what that girl is thinking, turning him down. Had she even looked at the tights?

I introduced Patience to my Mum a few weeks ago, it was late (Dad insisted on watching an episode of Midsomer Murders first), so she didn't even make it through the first act, which is sad - but there's always next time.
Thinking about it, I'm not even sure that she saw the pink tights, which is even worse than sad. But, anyhoo, the point I'm slowly getting to, is that she made one comment before she went to bed. Just one. Something along the lines of:
"Imagine milking a cow in that outfit. Or walking across a cow yard in those shoes...."
... ... .............and she's right, dammit.

We just like to skim over the majoy plot holes in G&S- like the one my Aunt pointed out at the end of Pinafore, "Wouldn't the royal navy have something to say about those two just switching? Wouldn't there be paperwork? And I assume both their mothers are suing Buttercup" (she looked too much into it, I say)

And then there's the fact that if Buttercup was nursemaid to both, she must be 15 years or so older at least. And Rackstraw and the Captain were babies together so Josephine is marrying a man her father's age.

And the latter is a problem because ... ?

And Rackstraw and the Captain were babies together so Josephine is marrying a man her father's age. And the Captain encouraged it!

And how come, after they switched, they still have the same names? Shouldn't Rackstraw change his name to Corcoran, and vice versa? Not to mention the change of accents...

Oh, don't you know the rule of thumb? A man that changes his rank must also change his accent.
Archibald Grosvenor taught us that also.

He also taught us that checkered suits CAN work! And while we're pointing out plot holes, how come no-one tried to find the "noblemen who have gone wrong"? I mean, a nobleman running away to become a Pirate is pretty scandalous...

What troubles me more is the fact that the Learned Judge decides to marry her and that resolves the issue - and she's okay with that. ((Yes it's Ant underneath, but really ... I mean, REALLY ...))

^ Yes, I wondered about that too. She did look really happy about it...
