The phrase "I saw Roy have monkey issues" just makes me crack up.
Just ignore me....

Wow, that was very detailed indeed...and it's always great to reminisce through another person's review and a different perspective. Great find oddness! Thanks.

Ho boy that was long and will admit that I skimmed (funny how they "to cut a long story short")
Nice comment left Mar.

Ok, i'm saving that review for when i can make time to read it thoroughly but thanks so much for the link oddness. And Mar you actually reminded me of the number of times i've had to correct Youtube viewers who complain about Ant's Main Event version of POTO of MOTN - they don't bother to stop and examine the context of the show as a whole. FOOLS!

Fredus, you might want to leaf through The Green Room for that answer ... So much for your helpful hints... after much searching I found an explanation for the tuna comment. Not, I might add, in the Green Room...

But I think it originated from the Green Room ... as did The Angry French Tuna.
As for the sequal ... considering they premiered Act I last year', it looks like it's going ahead. At the moment. I hear poorly, but even so ...

last I heard it was scheduled to open in November, possibly with John Barrowman as the phantom (sourced from wiki, so I dont know how accurate that part is). Don't get me wrong, I love John Barrowman, and Torchwood rocks my socks, but I really cant see him making a good Phantom. Raoul, maybe, but Phantom, No.

I love Alex as much as the rest of us. I just think Barrowman as Phantom.... it doesn't compute.

You're welcome! [goes off to search through more 'stats & data' tabs on youtube...]
I'm in two minds about this sequel that ALW wants to run. On the one hand, I'm curious to see how he presents the story, and on the other ... it sounds like such a departure in theme? style? characterisation? from the original stage show that it's almost like a bad fanfic. And the thought of Gerard Butler reprising the Phantom role ... maybe if the music is written to his strengths, it could be bearable.

Have you read Phantom of Manhattan oddness? Because it ticks all the boxes for departure: character, theme, setting, stylization, sanity....

I've actually thought about looking for it but never got around to it. I'm also not sure I want to ...... although after I finish Susan Kay's version, I may go hunting for it (for completeness' sake). [departure from sanity hehe ] Meanwhile, looking through the stats tabs on some Phantom/Warlow videos, I found a Korean blogger who has a few photos and videos here and there: windia.egloos.com/2975082 (hooray for google translate...)

I am having a huge clean-out as I am thinking of putting my house on the market, and I came across a copy of Phantom of Manhattan and flicked through it. What a load of crap!! Frederick Forsyth should be ashamed of himself for writing such rubbish. Would anyone like my copy? So Raoul died in 1940 - well I thought he was ancient in the auction scene at the beginning of POTO which was set in 1910 (?) so he must have been really ancient in 1940.
