Maybe some days Ant's feeling less gracious than others. XD
I never really paid much attention but now that you mention it... I'm sure the first time I saw it, Ana was left on the floor and the last night show she wound up in the boat.
I always keep forgetting to watch how Ant gets into that robe too. I'm sitting there basking in the Music of the Night afterglow and he pops up in a different costume two seconds later and I'm like *facepalm* damn, not again!

Isn't it funny, the details we watch out for? How many hand-bangs ((quiet)) and whether or not she remains on the floor.

Yeah, I never noticed the robe thing... I just thought being Ant, it just magically appears People like him can do that, so i've been told! Hahaha. Some things I noticed that I didn't the first time, then had to try and remember back... but then got them mixed up!!! Oh, I found this cute poster of Phantom on a site today, it has the mask with the rose next to it on a black background, and then above it, it says 'Remember your first time...'. I think it was promoting the 21st anniversary of Phantom or something like that... but I liked it

That reminded me of that avatar in the Phantom LJ community that said something like: "A girl never forgets her first Phantom". I sure hope that counts for first-viewed live Phantoms because I really, REALLY want to forget Butler. XD

Hehehe cute avatar! I love ones like that!
I'm sure it does mean live Phantoms... because I think it's safe to say that everyone wants to forget Gerry.

^ Hence why I'm also glad I wasn't taken to see gag-fest Guest....
This Phantom of Manhattan thing is going to be a nightmare. Oh, if anyone wants to pick up a piece of this cringe-inducing material, eBay usually has a few copies going for around the 99 cent mark XD

Hahahaha! Gag-fest Guest! That made me laugh!
I will probably borrow it from my local library, just to see how bad it is.

lol - I think that's why we're self-confessed tragics.... I'm not only a self-confessed tragic, I've had it confirmed by Ant himself!!! XD XD

... Yes. XD I was actually going to do a sing-out thing to her but apparently the music note symbol you can put in a Word Document ends up copying as a question mark on the forum. >_<

Pity his site's down, we could've nabbed the one off his home page as it's against a white background ... or was it? Anyway it was clear.

I use stat decs when I'm sick, although if Ant signed one of those I wouldn't hand it over to my year level co-ordinators....
(I should get him to sign one in Sydney in case my flight's delayed and I miss school XD )

Aha!!! I just figured something out! In the programme, it says that in Act II, they haven't heard from the Phantom in six months! If they were to make a sequel, and Christine and Erik DID... concieve... then, by the time that the six months goes bye... would it not mean that Christine would have this massive baby bump during the Masquerade scene??? IF she did... then it would kind of change/wreck it, don't you think?? BECAUSE, in those 'olden' days, sex before marriage wasn't allowed... so Raoul is going to notice something is there that he didn't even contribute to...!!! Then Christine and Raoul wouldn't end up together, because he would be upset that something... happened... and that she was 'unfaithful' to him, or what not?! Therefore, they simply CANNOT make a sequel, unless they are even possibly considering to ruin my (and I am sure many others) favourite musical of all time. I rest my case.

Just to clear up where Christine faints and wakes in the first lair scene.........in Australia (both productions) she has always fainted onto the floor to then be covered by the cloak and during lights out moves into the boat to then awaken. In the original London production she was first caught when she fainted and carried to the boat by the Phantom, and this carried through intially to New York but is now only seen done by few Phantoms (due to production regs and personal choice) due to Ocupational Health and Safety concerns (potential injury to Phantom backs). Regardless, Christine always awakens in the boat under the cloak beside the monkey for the next scene. If you have seen the MOTN music video that was made before the original London show in 1986 this does show her being caught and may be what you can recall. I have seen the scene done both ways onstage and really overall doesn't make much difference but size of Christine in comparison to built of Phantom can be significant, and catches can look more ungainly the just fainting on the floor believe me.
Back to topic - I am very anti "this" sequel, simply because it makes a mockery of the significance of the kiss in the final lair scene being his first touch of kindness from another person (this is lost when in the sequel he has fathered a child which must of occured before the final lair as it surley didn't happen in the final lair scene with Raoul watching!) and ruins the thought that at the end he has disappeared to die like in the orignal Leroux book.

Hahaha, brilliantly frightening!

Flawless logic, sweet intoxication! Unless of course Raoul's too dense to realise Christine's put on a lot of weight! XD
However, you know what the sad thing is? I believe ALW has it in him to crap all over the workings of the female body and twist something out of it anyway. Maybe he'll just imply that Raoul had her as well, making Christine a loose chorus girl. Yeah.
*swear*

Didn't read it all, but random thoughts: Because Erik compliments Raoul. All the time. They're quite fond of each other, actually. *le sigh* Erik's a recluse, not an idiot. Raoul's a pretty boy but he's not gonna burst into tears at the drop of a hat, especially not in front of Erik, of all people. Quoting lines from the musical won't win me over. I don't read Phantom fanfiction because it's so atrocious and most of it's written by Gerik fangirls. This is the only decent one I've stumbled upon.
