I warned you the face-palm! I actually read the whole (unfinished) thing, and.... I'd like to erase it all from memory...

I actually like it, which is saying something. I'm very hard to please when it comes to Phantom. The author's got all the characters down perfectly and some of the dialogue cracks me up. For instance:
Erik's taking a train trip:

Oh, that's adorable! ((and I didn't realise there was more, I liked it where it ended >_< *goes off to read the rest*))

Ha! That is really cute!!! And I don't think that Raoul would be oblivious to Christine 'gaining weight'... as 'air-y' as he may seem, I don't think that he is completly stupid. And, it seems odd that Raoul and Erik would suddenly be the best of friends... do they not remember the whole 'you-stole-the-only-person-that-i've-ever-loved-after-I-tried-to-kill-you-several-times-after-killing-some-other-people-along-the-way'.... Confusing?! To me it is!!!

^ I mock Raoul but I not-so-secretly love him too, just nowhere near as much as Erik. As a matter of fact, fangirls that hate Raoul just because Christine goes off with him really annoy me.

No no, he is a dear; just a bit too foppish.

^ Anyone else would get a slap for suggesting such blasphemy! XD
You know what Raoul's problem is? good looks + money - tragedy - mystery.

Ha!!! Ahahahaha.
You guys are hilarious!
Again, the fangirls hate him (even all Raouls) because of Gerry... and because they are in love with his (Gerry's) face...
The other day at school, I was having a conversation at lunch time with another Phantom enthusiast (or so I thought)... she was in love with the movie... and Gerry...
And she was all 'oh I hate Raoul because he is ugly and Christine chose him over Gerry... and Gerry is the ONLY Phantom in the world. I've never seen anyone else'. One, I said, the movie isn't that great, two, I said that just because in the movie you think Raoul is ugly doesn't mean you stereotype all Raouls, and three, GERRY IS NOT THE ONLY PHANTOM YOU WEIRDO, HE IS THE WORST.'
She didn't believe me. Then she was wondering who this 'Anthony' I was going on about was. And so I explained that he IS the best Phantom ever... she still didn't believe me.
I then played her 'Music of the Night' from Centre Stage. She said that she no longer thought of Gerry as a 'god of song'. I am not pleased.

She said that she no longer thought of Gerry as a 'god of song'. Key words: "no longer". How can you not be pleased with that result?

Precisely. Now you can do it one of two ways; by ease or full gusto. If by ease, get her to listen to the majority of his ballads, songs like This Is the Moment, tracks from On the Boards to demonstrate his vocal diversity, et cetera.
For full gusto, slap on Beauty School Drop Out.

I must admit, that I am now happier! But the fact that she did consider him a god of song... that's what frightens me. Now I have opened her eyes to the true god of song.

Play her lots of Jekyll & Hyde then direct her to my avatar. Gerry may look good but there's more to a seductive performance than a pretty face.
(Not that there's anything wrong with your face, Ant. XD)

To be honest I don't know what avatar everyone sees; on FireFox it doesn't change every time the page is refreshed, but stays as one for perhaps a few minutes, maybe an hour', before deciding to change again. Right now I've got an entangled Papageno.

I will play her Jekyll and Hyde... who cannot resist that seductive voice (love that part in Alive when it's almost a whisper 'i'm here, my dear'). My other friend and I were listening to that the other day and we just fell inlove with the amazing voice all over again.
Ant has the voice... and nothing can come close. Full stop. No matter how good Gerry looks. Ant will just seduce with his voice. *iluverik* *iluvant*

See, that's what I don't understand; the whole physical attraction deal has always been a curiosity to me. Other factors fall into place before I find the physical attraction in someone, whether it be their voice or personality. Call me crazy, but I've never, say, watched a movie and gone: "Oooh, he's hot!" and then endeavoured to instigate any form of a crush.
...
I think I'm ranting.

I look at smile. If a guy has a beautiful smile, then I love it! Also, with eyes! And if a guy has the voice, then, what can i say?!
I think the 'pre-teeny' to early 'teeny' stage is when kids see things and automatically become obsessed with Orlando Bloom just because he plays a blonde elf who can walk on snow and who can see for a gazillion kilometres and still use a bow and arrow whilst looking good (talking about my sister by the way).
Thank god I am past all of that. I must admit... I did have my 'teeny' days, but those are long gone.

I think I'm making up for it now! *giggletantrum* In all seriousness I'm drawn to tragic characters -- they've always intrigued me more than a clear-cut knight-in-shining-armour figure. Having been a victim of bullying back in my early school days I guess I gained an natural affinity to those poor souls who've suffered at the hands of an unjust world. Now there's nobody who's been treated worse than Erik. The cruelty he's endured and what it's driven him to, the outcome of his doomed romance with Christine, his redemption... everything about him attracts me. And then I saw it live in Melbourne and I thought, "Hmm... that actor's pretty good." XD So at first I just liked Erik, then I liked Ant's portrayal of Erik, then I liked Ant. And so ends the evolution of my obsession!

I never had it; that's why it's such a curious matter. It was mainly the - no, it was always the voice. Then performance, personality, and eyes.

Me too Mars. It's the voice every time. It's what does it for me. Nothing moves me or sends goosebumps up the back of my neck more than sound - either a voice without peer like Ant's or a beautiful piece of music like "The Lark Ascending". Of course the fact that he's a really nice person and pretty to look at is just a bonus!! But it's always the voice that attracts me, and moves me, and stimulates me, and leaves me in a quivering mess. Can't say in my whole life I've ever thought any man was "hot" just from the look of him.

I was fortunate enough to see/hear at the same time so I really can't separate his acting from his singing.
