*sleepy* Can't work out if this is a Jekyll or Hyde thread so this'll do because this is where I ended up. Just finished my first day back at work. Note the time... Started at 7 this morning, home at 6 then back at 8.30 to have a baby (a little girl), an appendix and a fractured leg (not all the same person, I hasten to add). Welcome to the world of the operating room nurse.
Good thing is I get paid 4 hours at double time for the night's work so that will go into my shows/shoes fund. I have 52 pairs of shoes. It is my sex substitute - far less messy and you don't have to be nice to shoes. They like you for who you are and some of them are sooooo pretty. And you can wear them to shows! you can't do that with sex!
I'm really tired but the main thing I wanted to say was that I kept thinking about all of you and all the stuff I've been reading on the threads over the last few days (I've nearly caught up to date with everything) and I kept giggling and smiling secretly to myself. I'm sure my colleagues think I found love while I was on leave! Pretty sure they wouldn't understand Ant-love and the devotion of Anthony's acolytes (except for Cheryl my boss who lusts as I do). Anyhow, I've now been up for too many hours and I'm starting to see double. At least I don't have to start till midday today. Goodnight. *sleepy* *sleepy* *sleepy* *sleepy* *sleepy*

Well we're in Hyde atm, so this is the rage corner, yet some of us don't so much rage as ... whine ((I'm talking about myself; I can get really whiney)). And yet sometimes the good and bad news hops between the threads, so it's all good.
Awe, that's cute imagery; I did the same thing ((back when I still had a job)) and it's probably one of the reasons why they haven't asked me back ((where I worked was so dismal and dull and utterly depressing that to smile was a sin and a cut in the paycheck, I swear)). Oh, your boss is also a Warlovian? That's excellent!

Walovians are everywhere - we just need to get them out of the shadows - HIDE NO LONGER PEOPLE! And sanderella, you and my mum would get along very well when it comes to deep and long-lasting relationships with shoes, hehe!

My Warlover boss, very nearly threw her knickers at Ant when we went to see his concert last year. And she is not a small woman, they would have engulfed him! Just happened that the night he was performing in Hobart, was the opening night of the state anaesthetists meeting in Hobart that I was helping to organise, and I said jokingly that I was going to see Ant that night so if they wanted me at their opening function, they would have to come too. Well, within a day, we had got drug company sponsorship for 20 seats and I had arranged a block booking with a friend who works for the Tas Symph! The power of Ant-love is alive and well in Hobart! One of the anaesthetist's wives who was sitting next to me muttered to me half way through the first half, "You know, I wouldn't mind if he was a dud root if he sang to me like that!!!!" Once again, the more astuts of you will have noticed that it's past 1 am. Have just got home from work, again. More babies (twin girls this time) plus reboring two old men's prostate glands. Oh the glamorous life of the operating theatre nurse! Would be really venting, except just found out Rod Stewart is touring next year and that might have just paid for a ticket. Yes children, I was a huuuuuge fan in the 70s, till I saw the Ant light, that is.
Of course that word should have been "astute" and not "astuts" hehehe

If I could give you a title - which I can by the way, I have that power at least XD - I'd probably reference you as somewhat of a dictionary, or perhaps find a better collective word for someone who creates the best Warlow-sliced words I've ever heard.
...
Oh crap, now I'm getting weird imagery of Warlow slices. Is there an off button to my mind; could someone reach it for me?

Why thankyou Marie-Cris! *curtsies coyly*
Better day at work today so i am feeling very relaxed tonite. nothing to vent about at all.......till someone else does something to irritate me. Anyone who says something is completely foolproof underestimates the ingenuity of complete fools!

I hate this town. And all its job-less stores. And Nippy's Waikerie Producers can EAT ME!!! I am NOT going back there! I'd rather lynch myself!
I feel so depressed right now.

Cyber cuddles from me too Mar!! *throws glitter and blows bubbles to ward off evil Nippy's Spirits* Here is alittle something to cheer you up that somebody sent me as a Breast Cancer Week awareness thingy. It was titled "Pink Ant" and silly me immediately thought of, well, you know, ahem, tights. But it appears he is wearing a total body suit Cathy Freeman-style! If you squint hard enough you can almost imagine it's him!!!!!

Awe, thanks guys. Yesterdays' tantrum has kinda washed over for now. Now my only problem is trying not to choke on my suppressed giggles ((it's best to restrain yourself if your folks are watching the news in the next room and the walls in your house are very thin)).

neh It'll be all over soon, you poor girl! Let us know asap that you are ok after the surgery! Get someone to post for you if you're not up to it... we'll be worrying about you! Not that it compares in any way to what you have to go thru neh, but next tues. I have to have double MRI (neck & shoulder, 30 min inside the machine without moving ) and as I get a little clostraphobic... I'm quite squeamish about having it. My dear doctor gave me two lovely little blue pills to calm me down... so I don't cause a scene by going nuts in the machine!

Hi Neh, hope the surgery goes well. Are you having mandibular osteotomies? A friend of mine had hers done last year at the age of 52 and she wished she'd had it done years and years ago she is so pleased with the result. Daughter of a friend of mine had hers done a couple of months ago and she kept thinking it was someone else's reflection looking at her she looked so good!!! It's a bit uncomfortable and painful initially but patients usually come right fairly quickly. Trickiest bit is finding a variety of mushy food to eat. Most people lose weight in the initial couple of weeks. Make sure you have plenty of pain relief - don't try and be too brave. Nurses don't hand out medals for bravery! Make sure you have plenty of pain relief to take home with you too. I do a lot dental surgery at one of my hospitals ( we have two campuses) and we recommend people take regular pain relief for a few days (both Nurofen or the like as well as Panadeine Forte, if you can tolerate them) whether you are in pain or not to keep the blood levels of medication at an adequate level to block the pain receptors. Hope this helps. Hope your MRI goes alright too Jazz. Neck pain is a bugger. Take the tablets (hope the little blue one's aren't Viagra!!!!) and enjoy. If you haven't had one before, the machine is very noisy but some places give you earphones and or music to listen to. You can't wear any metal either, because it's a giant magnet. Hear endeth the medical advice column! I may be in danger of turning into "Dear Dolly Doctor"

Don't give up a life that's got plenty of opportunities to see Anthony.

Thanks everybody, and Mum, i know what you mean - i'm not claustraphobic but i HATE those MRI machines with a passion... i *always* get so tense and just long to move about 5 mins into it! Best of luck with it; hope the pills work! (why didn't they give me muscle relaxants darn it???) Sandra, may i call you Aunty Doctor? I figure that way we can really start forming this little Ant-loving family officially! I'm having an op where they are moving my top jaw forward - intially it was going to be the bottom jaw back but the plans have changed. And don't worry, i won't be saying no to pain killers, no way, hehe! I do dread approx. two months of liquids and mushed-up food though..... gag!

Thanks all for the well wishes, I've never had an MRI before so don't really know how I'll be! They are trying to find out why my left arm is getting really bad pins and needles - it started 5 months ago after I hurt my neck at work, so at least it's all on workcover and I don't have to pay for the MRI and all the physio I've been having. I kinda hope they actually find something that they can fix even if it means surgery, cause it's driving me crazy! I have trouble sleeping, driving etc. and pretty much all the time. The neck really hurts after a full days work, and since I work 5 to 6 days per week, it's not getting much of a chance to get better.
neh... how do they do that to your jaw, is it all done from inside the mouth? Is it to correct an overbite? Bridezilla had a terrible overbite and had to have her upper braces on for nearly 4 years... God how she hated those things! Both my girls had to have braces but Claire was lucky, she only had hers on for about a year and a half. I'm sure you've already had to have soft foods every time they tighten your braces, but that only for a few days each time. One thing I can suggest is really overcooked risotto, both my girls loved it when they had just had their braces tightened, cause it has flavour and sort of real food... you'll probably have to wait till after the initial healing is over, but give it a try. Hope you bounce back real quick... look on the bright side all the money you can't spend on junk food, you can put into your 'Phantom' ticket fund. *dance*

Hehe, thanks mum - and a good and welcome perspective there! Yeh, i guess i have either a mjor overbite of my bottom jaw or a major underbite of my upper jaw.. either way, my face has never looked how it should. I'll be on liquids for quite some time, but i promise later on to give the rissoto a try! And Mum, i really hope your neck and the subsequent pain improves and goes away! As a person with Fibromyalgia, i know how much it sucks to have painful limbs and muscles.

You poor thing Neh. Don't despair. new Ant pictures in VIP to help see you through. They got me through root canal this morning. Don't forget what Dr Aunty sandy said - take your pain killers. You can alternate nurofen with panadeine type tabs every three hours or so so you have both of them working for you. remember Nurofen needs to be taken with food (or slops in your case. No more than 6 Nurofen a day and 8 paracetamol containing tablets. *glomp*
