LOL, I'm useful for the *coughs* and the like, oh and the COLM concert! I watched that the other day for s**ts and giggles, wasn't too bad, aside from MOTN, Bring Him Home was good.

Omg, a Phantom bar! Cute Anyway, not sure if this is the right place to post this but was just browsing the lovely James Pratt's website and came across this video he's posted of him conducting the Adelaide Phantom orchestra and Alex, John O'May, David R-S and Anna O'Byrne in a Sweeney Todd number: www.jamespratt.com.au/James%27%20Website/Conducting.html

Nik, where did you quote that from? I had a brief fear that it was one of my nieces ((Emmy's fallen in love with his voice, thank goodness!)) but I know they've got better sense than that.

Oh man, only $475?! That would pretty much cover the four performances anyway!
Aww, I've always wanted to go to a proper masquerade ball XD Not one of those lame ones like we had two years ago where everyone's just wearing cocktail dresses and carrying a $2 Shop mask around with them -_-

Interesting that Tam or whatever her name is was filming the show! Obviously not too many security people around. It is really amazing how many people swear black and blue that there are two different people singing Phantom at each performance. Although as I have said before, I did see two Phantoms when Anthony only did the first half at one show and Simon did the second half.
I have done a count up- of the 40 performances I have seen, I had Anthony as Phantom 32.5 times, Rob Guest 1, Roy 2 and Simon 4.5.

I tried to do a count and can't for the life of me remember how many times I've seen the show now. I think it's 17 and 15 of those would be Warlow, Roy 1 and Rob Guest 1.

Not like the cheap masquerade on Gaia at the moment, eh?
((Or not so cheap, if you want a really good look))

Hehe, yeah. Except, due to lack of funds, with the Gaia masquerade my avi is just dressed in freebies I got from Daily Chance and the Overseer. Yay for freebies!

I've just spent four hours drooling over the computer after Nik brought up that post about Las Vegas Phantom Phan week. Had heard of it a couple of months ago, and without looking into details just thought can't go as I'm not allowed any annual leave this year with the post graduate uni course I'm doing with my clinical rotations and the compulsory attendance of a lecture every Tuesday. Well calculated it falls within two pay fortnights and with very careful rostering and the 17 hour time difference, can get to Vegas and back between Tuesdays and attend the whole 4 days, so I can't believe I did this ........I've booked it!!!!!!!!! Intend staying onsite at the Venetian - have stayed there before in 2006 when I sort of took a detour from Vancouver to check out the Las Vegas show. I think I really am now certifiable Phantom crazy. Bonnie

Let me stamp that certificate for you Bonnie. Crazy, but what a fantastic thing to go to. I am very envious but short of robbing a bank, there is no way I could afford to go.

Lets just say my Kevin Rudd stimulus package is not stimulating the Aussie economy ..........really shouldn't do this, but I just can't stop myself, I know I suffer an obbssesive compulsive disorder regarding phantom, but it's not hurting anyone it - only stops me saving a great deal of money, but I will say I don't spend money I don't have. My err exersions do take a bit of organizing, particularly this year as annual leave is not allowed:( The big irony is, yesterday I entered a RUG competition asking about international phantom experiences in 500 words or less, and I finished the piece off saying my next phantom journey would be next year to London.........that idea didn't last long! I'm not completely over the top...........yet! Bonnie

Nik, does that mean no Korean BoD or they're just going to keep who's in the cast a mystery?

Bonnie, I think you're nuts. But I also think you're my hero. I wish I had the guts (and the income) to impulse fly to America for Phantom. I think over things and stall way too much.

Can't get it open Nik. But I was surprised to read somewhere that the production is only for 8 days. Seems a huge amount of money and work and effort for only 8 days.

It's a short article, doesn't say anything about the particular cast, mainly talking about the show in general. I think that's Ana and Alex in the All I As of You kiss picture, it's a bit small even on the zoom-in. They've also posted contact details, a phone number and the Taiwan website: www.phantomtaiwan.com.tw. Good find Nik! I didn't know their 2006 tour was a sell-out

Ok boys and girls, Phantom officially opened in Taipei Arena yesterday, to multiple RAVE reviews. Here are some of the footages from various TV and media: WARNING! MAY CAUSE SERIOUS PHANTOM WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS!! XDDDDRehearsals: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmQjFN29e8cRehearsal with all of 'em VERY casually dressed. ;D It's quite hilarious to watch. I particularly like how Alex delivers his lines sternly and "in character", yet wearing T-shirt and jeans. XD Brad Little sounds great here. For the Richard Groupies...(you know who you are! XDDD) He can be found at 3:45 & a bit in 7.30 ;D ;D ;D All I Ask of You www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pex7wOXybIAna & Alex sing All I Ask of You, with a short little interview near the end with Brad, Ana and Alex. Ana and Alex sounds gorgeous, as always. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUD19OKRyXMSame as above, highlights, taken from a different angle and better quality. This one has Brad Little singing Music of the Night for the second part. .... I can't decide if he's a tenor or baritone. Dancers www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Grrc85naMQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=A7Va9WgTgf4Dancers warming up and rehearsing. General promo. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfpgLAodA0cFunny that Australian promos use footages from German production. Taiwan promos use footages from Aussie production. XD The footage is taken during the Adelaide run. Meeting fans... www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-bbY9uvQxwoh, and it says that Alex likes the meat buns! XDDDD Backstage exploration www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad2KoH3unWUIncludes a beautiful footage of Anthony & Ana performing Phantom of the Opera, with some SERIOUSLY gorgous close-up shots. <3 Again, this footage is taken during the Adelaide run. There are also talks backstage about costumes and wigs. (...and how do I know these footages are taken during the Adeladie run? Coz I actually ran into some of the filming crews after that particular show! ;D ;D ;D) Bloopers www.youtube.com/watch?v=c39yXV5NpfIAlex talks of a blooper and Ana talks of...dumpling? XD It certainly sounds like the casts are having a ball! XDDD The show is gonna run from 10th until 26th (I think...?) I wish them a tremendously successful run!
